In today’s consumer society our highly efficient waste management systems constantly collect valuable resources from our surroundings and transfer them outside of our sphere of influence where they are either being destroyed or transformed into inferior materials. We have grown reliant on others to take care of the materials we generate through our everyday consumption, and fail to acknowledge the value in these ressources by doing so.
